How to Change Pads for a Changing Table

How to Change Pads for a Changing Table

Changing tables are commonly used for newborns and infants as a place where parents can change the baby's diaper. Changing tables typically allow you to store your child's diapering necessities, such as wipes, lotions, diapers and additional items all within reach of your baby when you are changing her. Not only is this convenient by giving you a place to change your child without having to get on the floor or a piece of your furniture, it also provides additional safety for your child. With all of your diapering needs within reach you don't have to leave your child's side during the changing process.

Instructions

    1

Change the pad on your changing table by removing it from the top of the table. Changing pads are typically not attached to tables in any way.

    2

Replace the changing pad with a new one -- if you don't like the one that came with your table and purchased a new one. All changing pads are the same size, designed to fit the standard changing table top.

    3

Change just the cover on your changing table pad. Pad covers are all made a little differently, which means you may have to just pull the pad out of the cover or you might have to remove the cover similar to a fitted sheet.

    4

Replace your pad cover with a clean one and put the pad and new cover back on your changing table prior to your next use.
